Job Description:
SUMMARY
Under general supervision, this position performs tasks associated
with maintaining the public building facilities of the City of
Amarillo. Duties include preparing assignments for subordinates,
training personnel, preparing warehouse orders, buying
requisitions, training personnel on energy management systems and
operating maintenance and test equipment. Helps with the
supervision of mechanics of a lower grade.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Requires a High School Diploma or its equivalent and a minimum of
four years of building and facilities maintenance experience,
including at least three years of experience installing,
maintaining and repairing HVAC and mechanical systems and
equipment. Certification HVAC or electrical fields required, or
ability to obtain within six months of hire. Valid Teas Driver's
License required. Valid Texas Class C Driver's License
preferred.
