III - -Position Summary:The UHS HTM Medical Systems Engineering
Technologist III (MSET III) performs evaluations, repairs,
inspections, and preventivemaintenance on devices used in the care
and treatment of patients at UHS facilities, affiliates, and other
institutions that haverelationships either owned or contractual.
Manages projects. Focuses his or her performance to ensure that all
patients receivethe safest and best possible experience while at
the facilities serviced by the UHS HTM Program. Works independently
withminimal supervision. Delivers exceptional customer service to
patients, physicians, nurses, technicians, administrators and
allpersons contacted during the course of their service. Delivers
service that meets and exceeds all regulatory requirements
andcompliance for the position held. Assists UHS HTM leadership
with developing and strengthening facility and vendor
relationships.Responsible for executing and meeting all
requirements of the established key performance indicators (KPI's).
- -Job Duties/Responsibilities:Documents and maintains records of
all work activities in the computerized maintenancemanagement
software. Participates in continuing education. Participates in
on-callschedule/rotation as directed. Routinely manages the
corrective and preventive maintenance ofdevices as assigned as well
as follow-up communications on this work and any other
assignedresponsibilities. Travels to other sites from primary
location as directed/needed. Understands andemploys all regulatory
requirements. Understands and properly operates all test
equipmentrequired for the repair and maintenance of devices in the
HTM Program. Pulls and terminatescabling including fiber optic
cabling. Follows all established corporate and local policies
andprocedures pertinent to the position held. Participates in
and/or facilitates in-service education todevice users. Provides
cross-training/education to other HTM team members. Coordinates
theordering of replacement parts and/or service on devices. Ensures
replacement parts/services aredelivered and ensures accuracy of
invoicing. Ensures all exchange parts ordered by the MST
arereturned for proper credit within the timeframe specified. - -

Requirements:Professional Certification - MINIMUMTechnical School/2
Years College /Associate's Degree - MINIMUMBachelor's Degree -
PREFERRED - -Physical and Sensory Requirements:--- Experience with
healthcare technology management programs--- ACI Certification
Required (CBET, CRES, CLES or CHTM)--- Must possess skill-set of
advanced modality HTM expertise such as clinical laboratory,
medical imaging,radiation/oncology, real-time location systems,
alarm management middleware or high-end biomedicaldevices such as
device integration/networking, catheterization
lab/electrophysiology monitoring systems--- Medical equipment
knowledge (manufacturers, models, modalities, capital planning,
etc---)--- Understanding of regulatory requirements of medical
devices (CMS, TJC, CLIA, AABB, NRC,State, Local)--- Advanced/Strong
computer skills (proficient with Microsoft products), experience
with CMMS products--- Strong planning and organization skills.
Excellent verbal, written, communication and presentation skills---
