Overview: Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a Board
Eligible or Board Certified Family Medicine trained physician at
Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis, NM About Department
(Primary Care Program) Dedicated to improving the health of our
community, the Primary Care Program encompasses outpatient Family,
Internal, and Pediatric Medicine. We staff twenty-one clinics
throughout the state of New Mexico in both urban and suburban
environments, and our team is growing Our mission is to provide
comprehensive, quality healthcare as leaders, healers, and
innovators in the rapidly changing healthcare landscape. Practice
Highlights
- 36 hours of direct patient care with dedicated administrative
time. 4 day work week option
- 16-18 patients per day
- Practice call in rotation with group
- No inpatient responsibilities
- Ability to see all ages newborn to geriatrics
- Salary guaranteed for 3 years with production upside

Responsibilities: Summary: Provider cares for patients, by
providing outpatient, primary care services. Provider will lead and
work collaboratively with a team, including nurses, medical
assistants, case and care managers, behavioral health clinicians,
pharmacist clinicians, and clerical staff to provide care to
patients. The position requires regular communication and
collaboration with others. Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive medical care to patients with acute and
chronic illnesses.
- Make professional medical judgments in the care of patients
seen.
- Order, conduct, and interpret appropriate diagnostic x-ray and
lab tests.
- Prescribe treatments, medications, and non-pharmacologic
therapies.
- Document all patient encounters and communications
appropriately.
- Manage the provider/patient relationship.
- Receive and resolve patient complaints.
- Involved in education and counseling of individuals, families,
and groups.
- Serve as a health care resources, interdisciplinary consultant,
and patient advocate.
- Work autonomously as well as in collaboration with other health
care providers and staff as needed.
- Participate in the recruitment and replacement of other
providers.
- Participate in system-wide health management initiatives.
- Provide input into the practice sites financial, clinical, and
service quality performance; budget, capital plan, and personnel
issues.
- Provides clinical input into the development and review of
appropriate clinical protocols and processes.
- Enhance professional growth and development through
participation in educational programs, literature review,
in-services, and workshops.
- Perform other functions as required.
- Attend and participate in all scheduled meetings including PCC,
provider and site meetings.
- Modifies assessment techniques according to patient's
condition, culture, age, and stage of development.
- Maintain coding and encounter data standards for completeness,
accuracy, timeliness and reimbursement level, including legible
documentation. Credentials Required: MD/DO trained in Family
Medicine. New Mexico license required along with Federal DEA and
State Controlled Substance Registration. About Presbyterian
