What You'll Do:
Promote Safety. Take an active role in prioritizing safety
throughout the operation for yourself and others at all times in
accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards.
Operate Lowboy and Heavy Equipment. Operate haul trucks and other
construction equipment to transport and dump loose materials such
as sand, gravel, crushed rock, and/or operate a lowboy trailer for
transporting equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Inspect Equipment. Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip
inspections in accordance with Vulcan standards. Complete daily
mobile equipment reports and other relevant documentation with
accuracy. Must be able to handle and understand Department of
Transportation regulations, keeping all documentation up to
date.
Maintain Equipment. Maintain equipment performance by checking
vehicle fluid levels, and assist in performing other minor
maintenance. Report unsafe mechanical conditions to supervisor.
Monitor Processes, Materials, and Surroundings. Must have the
ability to operate all types of heavy equipment to assist with the
loading and unloading on the lowboy.
Additional Responsibilities. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Skills You'll Need: Experience. Experience in
bookkeeping, accounting, or related experience is preferred.
Knowledge of Accounting Principles. Must possess a fundamental
understanding of accounting principles and knowledge of common
office practices, procedures, and use of office
equipment.Technology Skills. Must have the ability to use
computers, cell phones, and other electronic devices. Must have
appropriate typing skills and a thorough understanding of Microsoft
Word and Excel. Interpersonal Skills. Must have outstanding
communication skills and have the ability to interact well with
people in all levels of the organization.Integrity. Must act with
unyielding integrity and honesty in business transactions, promote
company policies, and hold self and other employees accountable.
